Zoe Saldana has public life has pretty much taken a backseat ever since they gave birth to twin boys in November 2014, but the beautiful Dominican has slowly been reappearing at red carpet events. One thing she can thank boys for is her newly enhanced body. Zoe has always been model thin; not 1990s Versace dream team thin but more Cara Delevingne thin. The kind of thin where people aren’t doubting that one is eating, but it’s just natural. I’m rambling. Anyway, Zoe in a black and white Altuzarra dress with Louboutin heels made an appearance at the Moet and Chandon event for Tennis player Roger Federer. She looked amazing as usual but curvier because she filled the dress out in such a beautiful way despite the dress primarily being white.
My, my, my! If you keep up with fashion and haven’t heard about Mrs. Marjorie Harvey you have been living under a social media rock. She has been looking absolutely stunning at PFW as she usually does! Though, what sets her apart from the others in the luxury fashion circles that she is an absolute risk taker, but the risks she takes are always perfectly blended as seen above before she attended the Chanel fashion show. Some may have seen this look as too much with just the printed dress but Mrs. Harvey kicked it up a notch with a blue fur jacket (crazy, right?!) and pink Louboutin pumps. It looked amazing and she totally owned it! Look her up and be inspired!

During Paris Fashion Week, Dakota Johnson wore a stunning Dior two piece ensemble to the fashion show of said designer. Let me start by saying this is such a clean and classic look, she looks like a young Charlotte Rampling or Isabelle Adjani. Also, I’m impressed with Dior’s take on the classic black suit; the pants end perfectly at the ankle and I love the off the shoulder top! Dakota completed the look with a leather Dior handbag and tortoise-shell sunglasses. As you can see in the picture, she looked like she belonged at PFW and wasn’t just there because of her much buzzed about film, Fifty Shades of Grey.
The frat boys of SAE at the Uniersity of Oklahoma hate black people. There is simply no other way to put it. In case you missed it, a video was released of these “men” chanting “There will never be a nigger in SAE.” See what I meant when I said there is no other way to put it? Since the release of the viral video, the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity has been gutted from memory on the OU campus. That’s nice and all, but the root of the problem for myself and others is these guys were smiling in the faces of their black collegiate peers and then carrying on despicable actions like the chanting displayed in the video. They’re no better than the KKK since they always wear hoods because they are our neighbors and coworkers. Why do racists hide the fact that they’re racist? Stop speaking with a forked tongue and just reveal your true nature. Also, maybe some white people will see that racism is not an unicorn or a game of goldfish. It’s real, alive and breathing. It’s everywhere. It is a plague that continues to exist and will never be eradicated as it passed from generation to generation.
While conducting an interview with Islamist Hani Al-Seba’i, Rima Karaki had to remind the cleric that it is not 1865 and that she does not have to obey any man. The two were discussing Americans/Christians joining the fanatical terrorist group ISIS in the Middle East when he decided to go off topic and speak about issues from the 1970s. That is when things got heated! Karaki asks Al-Seba’i to “focus on the present” and of course, he doesn’t take to kindly to a woman saying such a thing to him. “Do not cut me off….I will not answer the way you like, because I’m here to serve the idea in which I believe.” That’s when Karaki decided to get him together by saying “In this studio, I run the show.” Boom! Al-Seba’i became quite angry and responded with “Shut up so I can talk.” At one point, he even said it was “beneath him to talk to her.” While he may think it is beneath him to talk to her he still got read his rights by a clearly liberated, beautiful, and educated woman. Just the fact Rima Karaki possesses these three attributes was something he could barely wrap is mind around. So with or without this confrontation she still wins.
I love the seventies! It was such a glamorous and free time especially for black people in the entertainment industry. We were truly flourishing in that decade in the most positive ways. But one thing that is for true is anything went when it came to fashion. Like Sly Stone and his then wife, Kathy Silva (pictured above) when they got married in matching gold Halston outfits. He wore what looks to be a jumpsuit and a cape and she looked increasing beautiful in a long gold dress. They married in 1971 during one of Sly’s concerts at Madison Square Garden in New York. Despite their union only lasting a few years, their wedding outfits are engraved in vintage fashion history as 1970’s luxury at it’s finest.
Makeup Forever HD Foundation is the most amazing foundation ever! My blog isn’t really about beauty and makeup but I have to get on here and rave about the genius of this foundation. It has a sheer to medium coverage and it can be easily built up for those who prefer a heavier veil. Now that I have that covered (no pun intended) let me tell you about how long this stuff lasts. It lasts all day! It only gets a little oily on the face towards the end of the day. A typical day for me starts at 7:30 a.m. and ends at 6 p.m. and only then I have a little bit of oiliness on my nose. Other than that, perfect! I honestly believe that MUFE is the holy grail of foundation; you truly can’t go wrong with it! Also, it blends so seamlessly that it is almost scary. When I first put it on I just thought, “Wow, I’m going to fool people into thinking I was born like this.” See how I made that reference to Beyonce?
